Great local spot! Always come for the breakfast burritos in the morning before the beach! Can't beat em especially for the price

I would give no stars if possible but this is as low as i can go. My girlfriend was celebrating her best friends bachelorette party near by so we decided to cater the food. I called Pepe's earlier in the week and arranged to have tacos made for them. I placed a fairly large order and set it up to be picked up at 6pm on Friday. To my surprise, i found out that on Friday when she went to pick up the food that the order was not even made. It was to feed 10 people and they did not even care to make the order. The owners son told us that they forgot.
I'm sure they may have good food but the lack of professionalism was a disappointment. Luckily we were able to scramble and find other food but to have someone place an order and not even care to make it is embarrassing and frankly rude.
I would love to review how their food tastes but due to the lack of them making our order i can't. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else -

My previous review is from a version of Pepe's that no longer exist. honestly, it's not what it once was. If you're on Silverstrand beach and want a convenient lunch, it's your only option, but it's no longer great. It's average Mexican food priced above average and this saddens me because it used to be great.

This place use to be Legendary... Use to be. New owner is rude and obviously does not care very much about the quality of the food. And not to mention how stingy they are with Salsa. It is sad this place has gone so downhill. Two big thumbs down

$9 bucks for an asada burrito. Not as good as they used to be. Tall Hispanic dude offered the Mexican guy in front of me extra napkins, didn't bother offering me any. Why don't they just put a few in the bag? Why are they so skimpy when asking for extra salsa? I think I'm done here.
